Finally we have our February class calander ready! You can down load it here: Download Febuary 2012.

We are welcoming back the New Year with our first crop night on the Friday the 3rd February from 5-10pm, cost $13 & supper is provided.

For those of you who have been enjoying the art of copic colouring we have introduced a colouring night! come along for a night of colouring & fun! our first night will be Friday the 17th of February, from 6-10pm, cost$10, BYO markers. Tracey will also be taking a Copic class for all levels, on Tuesday the 28th February, from 11am-1pm, cost $25.

Sue is taking one of her fabulous card classes on Wednesday 22nd of February, from 6-8pm, cost $25.

Lastly our first children's class for the year is on Friday the 24th February, from 4:30-6pm.

New Stock

Smash is taking off in store we can barely keep it on the shelves, it's a fun new way of memory keeping, for adults, teenagers & children alike, you can view their blog here.

Basic Grey have released a range of love type papers just in time for Valentines Day or could also used to make great Anniversary cards.

Simple Stories two new ranges are in store, they too have a new concept of scrapbooking. These papers are designed for the We r memory Keepers photo sleeves and are a fast and time affective way to finish off projects. You can also see their blog here.

GIRL'S NIGHT IN

For those of you that haven't heard on the grapevine, we are hosting a GIRL'S NIGHT IN to raise funds for breast cancer research.

The night is sponsored by Xpress Graphix who have kindly donated some fabulous giveaways for the evening, including a 12-pack of copic markers.

Although the event is officially a copic marker event, you don't neeed to have any copic experience, or even own any copic markers. It will run in a similar fashion to a crop, and we will have the class set of Ciao markers available for you to "try before you buy" and i will be coloring too, so feel free to just come and watch/learn/play.

So why not come along and enjoy a great night in with friends.

September is full of Copic classes for beginners to advanced, as requested by so many!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Copics Markers Tracey is having a free demonstration day, where she will be at the store colouring. This a great fun way of learning new techniques as well answer any question you may have.

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to The 4th annual Imagination Factory Retreat.

WHEN: Friday 14th October to Sunday 16th October.

WHERE: Cave Hill Creek. Approx 40 min from Ballarat.

COST: $190 per person, inclusive of all meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch.

HOW TO BOOK: Either in person or over the phone. $50 non-refundable deposit required to secure your booking. Please ensure you leave your email address so that we can forward information to you as it arrives.

July News

I hope you're all enjoying the new format of The Imagination Factory Newsletters. We are always trying to do our best to keep you up-to-date with happenings at the store, and what better way than our new and easy to read newsletters! If you are not on our mailing list then send us an email and we will add you right away.
Our Latest arrivals include the entire October Afternoon "Rocket Age" range for the boys and hundreds of gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Also due to arrive later this week are We R Memory keepers, Prima, Creative Imaginations and Basic Grey.

CLASS NEWS
We have lots of classes scheduled for July and August, from Stamping And Card marking to Copic classes, scrapbooking layouts and children's classes. If you have a special request for a class, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request. CROPS
With the onset of the cooler weather, we have decided to trial new hours for crop nights.  The new hours, commencing with the July crop will be 5pm until 10pm!
So we will start the crop one hour early and finish 2 hours early, with a new crop night fee of $13 instead of the current $14. Hopefully that will suit everyone. If not, then feel free to let us know. This may also be a good time to remind all ladies to PLEASE remember to cancel your crop night booking if you unable to attend the crop you are booked into.  We continue to ladies on our waiting list who miss out when there are empty seats from "no-shows" Thank-you.

RETREAT
The Imagination Factory Annual Retreat will be held at Cave Hill Creek on the weekend of the 14th to 16th of October 2011. Registration forms will be available soon, with $50 non-refundable deposit payable to secure your booking.  It's a fabulous weekend, at a great location, not to be missed! More details coming soon.

UPCOMING CLASSES

Here's a little peek at some of the classes coming up at The Imagination Factory over the next couple of weeks.

Lorraine's card class is coming up this Wednesday the 25th of May from 11am til 1pm. She will be teaching you how to make these two gorgeous cards. The first is a shaker card with seed beads, and a stamped fish. The second is a slider card with a cute little stamped seal. Some great techniques in this class, and we have two spots left, due to cancellations, so phone the store ASAP if you would like to book.

Ebony's layout class is on this coming weekend, on SAT 28th May from 10.30 til 1.30. She'll be teaching 2 fun layouts, with lots of techniques like painting and stamping backgrounds. Currently, this class is fully booked, but we are taking names for a waiting list.

Also coming up in June are two Copic classes with me, Tracey. The dates are Mon 6th June evening and Thurs 25th June daytime. Discover your inner child and do some "coloring in" to make two gorgeous cards, and learn all about how to color stamped images with copic markers. The card below is just a sample of copic coloring, not the card we will actually be making in the class!

Fiona is taking a CHILDRENS CLASS this Friday the 27th May, from 4.30 til 6 pm. She's making a supercute mini decorated tin complete with a bunch of gift cards to fill it with. So cute. Photo to follow.

 

Last but not least i would like to showcase the new MINI MAGNOLIA range of stamps. These stamps really are miniature, with each one measuring not much more than an inch tall. Look at this gorgeous card that the super-talented Lorraine has made with not one but FOUR mini magnolia stamps!

This card is actually only about 3 inches high. It is seriously CUTE.

CLASS CALENDARS

Hi there everyone.

You will notice that we have lots of new teachers to introduce to you over the next few months.

Firstly, Karen Shady will be teaching a "how to make paper flowers class". A great way to cut down on the cost of embellishments by making your own. You will add the flowers to a couple of cards, but the focus of the class will be flower-making.

Ebony van der starre will be teaching a layout class, where you will make 2 fabulous layouts using the latest jillibean soup collections. More details to follow.

Last but not least, Lorraine Widdison will be teaching card making techniques. You will make 2 gorgeous cards, and have lots of fun.

PIZZA BOX NEWS

Lots of you would have purchased our Pizza box Kits, and know how fabulous they are. They come jam-packed with lots of coordinating paper, cardstock and embellishments, and full color instructions to make at least 4 layouts, sometimes up to 8.

We are lucky to have a guest designer of this months pizza box kit. Ebony van der starre is our designer, and she is using gorgeous new Crate paper for the kit, due out soon. Limited kits will be available, so call the store to reserve your box!

NEW STOCK

Of course, more new stock has arrived since our last post, and 2 new display stands to accomodate all the lovely new stock. New arrivals this week include Websters, Bella Blvd, Jillibean soup, and Greeting Farm, with restocks of the popular SRM tubes and wands.

PRIMA INTERNATIONAL TUTOR

If you missed our last post, we announced very excitedly that Ingvild Bolme from prima is visiting our store to teach! Amazing news. Spots are filling fast, so scroll down to the previous post, check out the details, and phone ASAP to book your spot. Don't miss out.

INGVILD BOLME IS COMING TO BALLARAT

You may have heard whispers on the grapevine about PRIMA coming to Ballarat. Well, now we can officially announce the details.

As you have probably heard, PRIMA U.S.A. are sending 4 of their amazingly talented Design Team girls to Australia to teach classes at Local Scrap Stores in November of this year. We put our hand up to host a DT gal, so that Ballarat would have the unique opportunity to learn from one of the best scrapbookers in the industry.

We are thrilled to announce that the internationally renowned INGVILD BOLME is coming all the way from NORWAY to teach a Prima workshop at none other than THE IMAGINATION FACTORY.  Lucky us!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from someone of this calibre right here in Ballarat.

 

THE IMPORTANT DETAILS

Ingvild's 3 hour workshop will be held at the Imagination Factory, Ballarat on Tuesday the 8th of November from 10am until 1pm.

Class fee is $150 per person.

To book and secure your place, you must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. No places will be held without this, and you may pay over the phone if that suits.

We will also be running a payment system for those preferring to pay the balance off in installments. 

All payments MUST be finalized by 1st October 2011. No exceptions.

We will notify all workshop attendees of project details and class requirements as soon as we have that information ourselves.

I am sure it will be a fabulous day, and look forward to hosting INGVILD at The Imagination Factory in November.

PRIMA NEWS

Some of you may have heard already that four of the PRIMA design team are heading downunder to teach at stores across Australia. It's not official yet, but it looks like we will be hosting one of the amazing international teachers for a workshop at THE IMAGINATION FACTORY, at a date to be confirmed in November!

Hopefully all will be able to be revealed within the next day or so, as we receive further information ourselves. Needless to say, the excitement is mounting already.

MORE NEW STOCK

Since my last post, yet more new stock has arrived. We are literally bursting at the seams.

Today saw the much anticipated arrival of MINI MAGNOLIA stamps, and LALA LAND stamps. They are both such beautiful images, quite different to each other, but both lovely to color.

The new Stampavie range arrived last week too, and here is a baby girl card i made with one of the stamps.

The stamped image has been colored in with COPIC MARKERS. There is still one place left in tomorrow evenings COPIC class, where we will color 3 stamped images and make them into cards.

CLASSES

We are finalising APRIL/MAY class calendars over the next few days, so look out for the class news on the blog later this week.

Julie's second card class for the month is on this Saturday the 19th of March, so if you're interested in making the 3 gorgeous cards featured below, then phone the store ASAP to book your spot.

Newsflash, newsflash.......new stock has arrived! Where to begin. We have received two shipments already, with a third due to arrive late next week.

Our design team have been busy playing with all the new product, so there are lots of ideas in the store to get you started.
